The False Claims Act is one of the federal government’s primary tools for the enforcement of fraud, not solely but frequently in the health care industry. False Claims Act recoveries regularly number in the billions annually. In this webinar, we will discuss recent False Claims Act cases and settlements, not solely for what those cases and settlements teach about the enforcement and application of the False Claims Act itself, but what it reveals about the federal government’s priorities and theories regarding health care enforcement. We will also discuss other major litigation between payors and providers for what those cases and investigations can reveal about the patterns of enforcement against health care providers.
